Yesterday we added a few ventilation holes and installed a piece of plexi glass on top to be able to see in without opening the lid.
We went to check on them this morning and turn the ones that needed turned, and two of the eggs were rocking and chirping I am hoping that we will have a baby or two by the end of tomorrow. The quail should be hatching any day now as well.
One note we had to readjust the temperature after adding extra ventilation which was not that much of an issue.
I will continue to update throughout the day.

We’re thinking about incubating soon. I’ve got an old incubator from the 1960′s off the dump where I work. It’s a no-frills set up. I look forward to more posts and seeing some chicks! Good luck!
Yeah it is fun. It’s been rough at times getting it right being we are new at it but once you get it right its a breeze. The waiting game is the hardest part. But we should be posting pics of baby chicks soon! Thanks for the good wishes!
